National Honor Society

The National Honor Society (NHS) recognizes high school students for their outstanding achievements in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character. The mission and purpose of the NHS are as follows:

  1. Scholarship: To recognize and encourage academic excellence. NHS aims to honor students who demonstrate a commitment to learning and achieve high standards in their academic performance.

  2. Leadership: To develop leadership skills and inspire students to take on leadership roles in their schools and communities. The NHS emphasizes the importance of leading by example and contributing positively to society.

  3. Service: To promote and foster a spirit of service in students. NHS members are expected to participate in meaningful community service projects, helping others and making a positive impact in their communities.

  4. Character: To encourage students to uphold strong moral and ethical values. NHS promotes the development of good character through honesty, responsibility, fairness, and respect for others.

The purpose of NHS is to create a community of students who embody these core values and to provide opportunities for growth and recognition in the areas of academics, leadership, and service. The organization also aims to prepare members for continued success and positive contributions beyond high school.
