Gary Stidham is the principal of Konawa High School. He can be reached at 580-925-3221, extension 232. He earned a high school diploma from Checotah Public School in 1969. His Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Arkansas, where he majored in physical education, was earned in 1973. Gary holds a 1977 master's degree from the University of Tulsa and received his principal's certification at the University of Central Oklahoma in 1993. His first year at Konawa was 1998. Earlier in his career, Gary taught at Bixby Public Schools, University of Tulsa, Latta Public School, and Cashion Public Schools. Gary was awarded All-State Coach in girls' basketball in 1980 and All-State Coach in boys' basketball in 1997. He was OIAAA Athletic Director of the year in 1996 and President of OIAAA from 1988 through 1999. He has also held a position on the Oklahoma Secondary Schools Athletic Association's board of directors since 2001. |

Brent Daniel teaches high school humanities, sociology, and physical education. He is also a 2005 senior sponsor. Brent earned his high school diploma at Newcastle Public School in 1980 and received a Bachelor of Science Education from East Central State University. His prior teaching experience includes five years at West Moore High School and eight years at Kingston High School. Brent came to Konawa in 2002 and was an assistant coach of the 2003 Konawa slow-pitch state champions. He is also an avid fisherman and a professional striper guide. |

Karla Davis is the librarian of the Kennedy Library of Konawa and teaches Library Science. Graduating from Konawa High School in 1992, Karla then received a Bachelor of Science degree from East Central State University, with a major in mathematics, in 1996. Her first year to teach at Konawa was 2000, but she has also served on the faculties of Wewoka High and Sulphur High Schools. Karla is a National Board certified teacher. |

Don Gallagher teaches American history, sponsors the yearbook, and coaches girls' track and cross-country. He previously worked at the Konawa Leader and taught photography. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from East Central State University, majoring in History. He has been teaching in Konawa since 1976 and can be heard announcing at nearly every home basketball or football game. He was named the Konawa Teacher of the Year in 1989. |

Debbie Garner teaches high school English, speech and drama, is also the student council sponsor, and is in charge of the Tony Hillerman short story contest. Debbie received her high school diploma from Konawa High School in 1975. She received a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in English education from East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma, in 1981 and took a teaching position in Konawa that same year. Debbie name can be found listed in "Who's Who Among America's Teachers." |

Gordon Garner is the head basketball coach for high school boys and girls and also teaches humanities. Coach Garner graduated here at Konawa back in 1982. His Bachelor of Science degree, with a major in physical education and a history minor, was earned from East Central University in 1987. Gordon's first year to teach at Konawa was 2004-2005. His prior teaching experiences were at Ryan, Okeene, and Depew. His awards and honors include: All State Girls' Coach 2002, All State Boys' Coach 1999, coaching in seven state tournaments, boys' state champions in 2004, girls' state runner-up in 2004, and he was named Teacher of the Year at Okeene and Depew. |

Wayne Gibbs teaches Spanish, supervises after school detention, and monitors the parking lot before school and at lunch. Wayne is a graduate of Stonewall High School. He received a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in History and minoring in Spanish, from East Central State University. He began his tenure at Konawa in 1996. He has previously taught at Turner School in Burneyville, Oklahoma. He was awarded the Beatrice Wisehart Spanish Award, Hornbeak Scholarship, Tony Hillerman Collegiate Award, and Sigma Tau Delta Writing Award. |

Tim Reeder is the assistant high school football coach. He received his high school diploma from Savanna High School in 1999. In 2005, Tim earned his Bachelor of Science Education degree, majoring in HPER/Teacher Certification, from East Central Univerity. His career in Konawa began in 2006. His prior teaching experiences were in Hennessey Public School. |

Suzi Issacs teaches special education. She earned her high school diploma from Morenci Public Schools in Morencia, Arizona. Suzi received a Bachelor of Science majoring in elementary education and a Master of Science majoring in learning disabilities. Her first year to teach at Konawa was 1979, but she has also taught at Wanette Public Schools. |

Sandra Johnson teaches English and is also a 2005 senior sponsor. After graduating from high school here in Konawa, she attended East Central University earning a Bachelor of Arts degree and majoring in English. Sandra joined the Konawa faculty in 1976 after teaching for a while at Byng Public Schools. She was also the founder of our award winning T- Steppers, and sponsored that group for twenty-two years. |

Paula Jones teaches Biology I, Biology II, and AP Biology, and she is the high school cheerleading sponsor. Paula is a 1981 graduate from Allen High School. In 2006 she earned a Bachelors of Science degree, majoring secondary education, from East Central State University. Her first year to teach at Konawa was 2006. |

Vickey Johnston teaches computer technology and multimedia. She also sponsors the local chapter of Business Professions of America. After graduating from high school at Latta in 1971, Vickie earned a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in business administration. Her first year to teach at Konawa was 1993, but she has also taught at Okemah, Paden, Prague, Alex, and Macomb Public Schools. A certified vocational business teacher, Vickie was the Konawa Teacher of the Year in 2000. |

Donny Longest teaches high school band, advanced music, and distance learning. Donny received his high school diploma in 1978 from Ringling High School. His Bachelor of Arts degree in music education from South Eastern Oklahoma State University was awarded in 1983. In 1986, Donnie earned a Master of Arts in Music Education from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Joining the Konawa faculty in 1995, his previous teaching experiences were at Shawnee and Hennessey High Schools. Donny Longest was awarded in 2004 with "Band Director of the Year" and was recognized by "School Band and Orchestra Magizine" as one of fifty directors who make a difference. He was the Konawa Teacher of the Year in 2002. |

Margaret Mocabee teaches an alternative education classes. A graduate of Dale High School in 1985, she received a bachelor of arts degree in 2004, majoring in special education, from East Central University. She began teaching here at Konawa, as the Seminole County Coop HS/MS Special Education Teacher in 2004. |

Luke Penrod teaches 8th and 9th grade sciences and is an assistant coach A graduate of Ada High School in 1975, he received his Bachelors Degree of Science in 1992. Then in 2004 he received his Masters Degree in School Administration. He began his teaching career in Coalgate, Stratford, and Asher schools. In 2006 he began teaching here at Konawa and his extra duty assignments include the 2007 senior class and the safety committee. |

Tiffany Oliphant teaches algebra and trigonometry. A graduate of Konawa in 1996, she received a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in mathematics, from East Central State University. Before coming back to her hometown of Konawa in 1991, Tiffany began her teaching career at Wanette and Pauls Valley Schools. |

B.J. Potts teaches alternative education, coordinates the gifted, talented, and creative program, and is the district Red Cross safety trainer. B.J. received her high school diploma here at Konawa in 1965. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Special Education, and a Master of Education, as a reading specialist, from East Central Oklahoma State University in Ada, Oklahoma. Her prior teaching experiences were at Seoul, South Korea, and in Houston, Texas. B.J. was named the top graduate in U.S. Military Academy in Seoul. She came back to Konawa in 1987 and joined our faculty and was awarded as the All State Cheerleading Coach in 1994. |

Terry Shamely is the head football coach, teaches middle school health, history, boy's track, and weightlifting. Coach Shamely received his high school diploma from Pauls Valley school in 1972. He earned a Bachelor of Science, majoring in history and physical education, from University. Terry has served on the facuties of Chandler, Ringling, Cashion, and Pauls Valley Public Schools. Samuell High School in Dallas, Texas, and graduated in 1971. Tom received a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in mathmatics, from East Texas State University in 1977 and a Masters of Administrative Studies degree from South Eastern Oklahoma State University in 1990. Having worked for several years in manufactoring and construction trades, Tom began his teaching career in 1980 at Calera Public Schools, taught adult evening classes at the Kiamichi Technology Center, and in 1990 he took a postion at Weleetka Public Schools. His first year to teach at Konawa was 1994. |

Cecelia Walker teaches special education. Cecelia is a Konawa High School graduate from the class of 1959. She received a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in elementary education, and a Master of Science, majoring in learning disabilities. Her tenure at Konawa began 1970. |

Jake Walker teaches agricultural education at Konawa High School. Jake is a 2001 graduate of Broken Arrow Senior High School. He earned his Associate of Science degree from Connors State College and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Education with an emphasis in Animal Science from Oklahoma State University in 2005. He is currently completing his first year of teaching at Konawa High School. |

Sean Walker teaches seventh and eighth grade girls' physical education and is an assistant high school coach. Sean is a 1984 graduate from Konawa High School. In 1989, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Education, majoring in physical education and minoring in education, from East Central State Univeristy. He earned a Master of Education degree in 2004, majoring in education, from ECU and also holds a Oklahoma Principal's Certificate. Sean's previous teaching assignments were at Holdenville, Wanette, and Sasakwa Public Schools. |

Shana received a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Vocational Home Economics Education, from East Central University, 1998. Shana begin her teaching career in 1998 at Bowlegs. She then taught at Maysville and Stratford Public Schools before coming to Konawa. Her first year to teach at Konawa Public School was 2004. |
