Vicki Fleming is the principal of Konawa Elementary School. She can be reached at 580-925-3118, extension 240.

Mrs. Fleming is a 1969 graduate of Warner High School. She has an Associate of Science degree from Conner's State College and a Master of Elementary Administration degree from East Central State University. Mrs. Fleming has been teaching in Konawa since 1989 and has served as a classroom teacher, technology coordinator, and assistant principal. Her prior teaching jobs were Gum Springs Elementary schools, Gore Public Schools, Nowata Public Schools, and Rattan Public Schools. She is also a Love-N-Logic certified facilitator and a certified trainer.

Billie went to work at Willard Bayless Drug Store and Douthit Drugstore for twelve years before she started working at Konawa. She started her work at Konawa Public School in September of 1976 and has been a key organizer for the Alumni Association here for many years. Johnny Jackson is her husband.

Toni Shamley graduated in 1979 from Enid High School. In 1982, she earned a bachelor's degree from East Central Oklahama University in Ada, Oklahoma, where her studies included special education, elementary educations, and early childhood. Her first year to teach at Konawa was 2003. Toni's career includes fourteen years on the faculty at Pauls Valley, two years and Ringling, and one year at Chandler Public Schools. She was Teacher of the Year at the Pauls Valley Early Learning Center, is a Great Expectations Instructor, and is a member of the Educator's Leadership Academy.

Lori Kiker is a 1976 graduate of Bowlegs Public Schools. She has a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in early childhood education. She started teaching at Konawa in 1999. She is a member of the Alpha Chi Honor Society.

LaNelda Carson graduated from Ada High School in 1962. She has a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in elementary and special education and a Master of Science degree, majoring in learning disabilities. Her first year to teach at Konawa was 1972. She is certified in early childhood education.

Phyllis McClure graduated from Konawa in 1969. She has a Bachelor of Science degree with an early childhood education major. Her first year teaching at Konawa was 1995. She was Teacher of the Year for 2001-2002.

Janet Yott graduated from Konawa High School in 1980. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in early childhood education. Her first year to teach here was 1999, the same year she was named the Outstanding Early Childhood Education Major from East Central University, graduating with high academic achievement.

Janet Mullins is also a graduate of Konawa Public Schools, receiving her high school diploma in 1973. She has a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in elementary education, and has a master's degree as a reading specialist. Janet taught at Maud before coming to Konawa in 1998.

Lisa Norman graduated from Sasakwa High School in 1999. She earned her bachelor's degree, majoring in elementary/early childhood education, in 2005 from East Central University. Lisa taught one year in Maud before coming to Konawa in 2006.

A 1982 Konawa graduate, Kim Wilson earned a Bachelor of Science and a masters degree, majoring in elementary education. Before coming to Konawa in 1993, she taught at Bowlegs Public School.

LaDonna Kuestersteffen graduated from Konawa High School in 1980. She has a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in elementary education. Her first year to teach in Konawa was in 1989.

Ramona Bunch earned her high school diploma from Tupelo Public Schools in 1979. She has a Bachelor of Science degree majoring in elementary education. Ramona taught in Tupelo before joining the Konawa faculty.

Tami Eberle graduated from Bishop Kelly High School in 1991. She has a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in elementary education, from Oklahoma State University. She began her career at Konawa in 1997.

A 1983 graduate of Konawa, Karen Townley earned a Bachelor of Science degree, with an elementary education major. Prior to coming to Konawa in 2000, she taught at Wewoka Public Schools.

Jill Ruth graduated from Ada High School in 1985. Then she attended East Central University where she earned a bachelor's degree in 1989. In 1994 she was awarded a master's degree in reading from the University of Central Oklahoma. Phyllis Moore is a 1975 Konawa graduate. She has a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in elementary education and home economics. Before coming to Konawa in 1991, Phyllis taught at Vamoosa Public Schools.

Linda Smith attended Colbert Public Schools, where she earned her high school diploma in 1973. Her Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in elementary education, is from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Oklahoma. Before coming to Konawa, Linda taught at Princeton Independent School District in Texas and also Weleetka Public Schools. Her first year to teach at Konawa was 1994.

Carol Shi graduated from Capitol Hill High School in Oklahoma City. She has an associate's degree from Seminole State College and a Bachelor of Arts degree from East Central University. She was the Executive Director of the Alliance for Arts Education and a member of O.E.O. and D.A.R. Carol is also a certified x-ray and medical technician. She began teaching at Konawa in 1999.

Barbara Heilaman graduated in 1972 from Bowlegs Public Schools. She holds an Associate of Science degree and a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in elementary education. 1998 was her first year to teach at Konawa.

Debbie Watters holds a 1976 high school diploma from Sasakwa High School. A reading specialist, Debbie earned a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in elementary education, and a Master of Science degree, with studies in education and reading. Before coming to Konawa in 2000, she taught at Sasakwa, Holdenville, and Wetumka Public Schools.

Kerry Sharp is a 1992 Konawa graduate. She has an Associate of Science degree and a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in elementary education. Kerry taught at Macomb Public Schools before coming to Konawa.

Matt Benge graduated from Stratford Public Schools in 1977. His Bachelor of Science degree was earned with a major in exercise science. Before coming to Konawa in 1997, Matt taught at Statford Public Schools.

Jennifer Matthews is a 1992 Konawa High School graduate. She has a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in elementary education. Her first year to teach at Konawa was in 1997. Jennifer coaches Softball and teaches physical education. In 2001, Jennifer was the Canadian Coach of the Year in fast pitch softball.

Mary Johnson is the elementary art teacher. She graduated from Lawton Public Schools in 1967 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in art and English, from Cameron University. Before coming to Konawa in 1990, Mary taught at Tomlinson Junior High School (Lawton, Oklahoma) and Sasakwa Public Schools.

Misty Douthit is the special education teacher for first grade through third grade. She graduated from Seminole Public Schools in 1993 and earned a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in special education. Before teaching at Konawa, Misty taught at Paden Public Schools and Tecumseh Public Schools. She holds certification in the areas of mental retardation, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and other health impairments.

Anna Reece is the special education teacher for fourth grade through sixth grade. A 1993 graduate from Butner Public Schools in Cromwell, Oklahoma, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in special education, from East Central University in 1999. Anna holds certification in both Mental Retardation and Learning Disabilities. She taught in a private school prior to joining the Konawa faculty in 2001. In addition to being a dedicated teacher, Anna also loves to read, cook, garden, and exercise.

Tonra Morrison is the speech teacher at Konawa Elementary School. She graduated from Wetumka High School in 1973 and has a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in speech and language pathology. Tonra taught at Latta, McLoud, Henryetta, Fairfax, and Wetumka Public Schools before coming to Konawa in 2000.

Laura Doner supervises the elementary computer lab for reading, math, grammar, spelling, Accelerated Reader, and Reading Plus programs. She graduated from Byng High School in 1987. Laura first started at Konawa Elementary 2003-04 as a Teacher's Assistant in Pre-K with Teresa Townley. She moved to the elementary computer lab the following school year. Before acquiring the position at Konawa, she worked several years in Ada at various secretarial capacities.

Amy Eropkin is a JOM tutor and works with first through fourth grade students in a pull-out reading program. She graduated from Konawa High School in 1993 and earned an associate's degree in general studies from Seminole State College in 1995. Her first year working at Konawa was 2004.

Betty Gallagher is an elementary teaching asssistant. She graduated from Austin High, El Paso Public School District (Texas), in 1967. Her first year to work at Konawa was 1985.
