2006-2007 has a very busy but successful year for the Konawa FCCLA. The members have been involved in many service projects, competitive events and leadership meetings.

During the month of August, the officers led a Membership Drive Campaign. We recruited 107 members. That is up 60% from last year.

September was a month for service projects. FCCLA along with BPA, FFA, and TSA hosted a Teacher Appreciation Breakfast for the Faculty and Administration.

October was another month of service for us. We hosted our Fall Blood Drive were we collected 32 pints of blood. Our goal was 35! Maybe we will reach it during our Spring Blood Drive. 75 members attended the District Leadership meeting in Prague. During October, we also hosted the 1st ever Halloween Safe Night. The members decorated the high school and opened it to students ages 0 - 10 years old. This offered the children of Konawa a safe place to Trick or Treat without the drive to Ada. This was a very successful event. We will continue to do this again.

November was our National Cluster Meeting in St. Louis. The officers, Mrs. Wood, and one other sponsor attended a 4 day leadership conference in St. Louis, MO. During November we also held a competition among our members to collect pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald House.

December proved to be a successful month. We had 7 students compete in FCCLA Competitive Events with 6 of them placing 1st and moving on to Regional Level Competition. Those students where:

Wendy Cahoon competed in Creed Speaking Senior Level and placed 2nd.

FCCLA also hosted the 2nd Annual Christmas party with BPA, TSA, and FFA.

January was a month for planning. Our officers planned out the events for Naitonal FCCLA Week. We also, competed in Regional Competitve Events. Lindsey Wilson placed 1st and will be competing in Stillwater at State Star Events at the end of March.

February 11th - 17th was National FCCLA WEEK! The officers planned activities for everyday. We also sponsored with FFA, BPA, & BETA Mr. Rhett Laubach to bring to our student body his motivational message.
