Konawa Elementary School

The Konawa Elementary building was built in 1975 with an addition of fifth and sixth grade classrooms in completed in 1994. The superintendent of schools during both constructions was Charles McFarland. The board members during the initial construction were President Bob Sharp, Vice President Robert Fallis, Clerk Leon Branscum, member Ervin L Lane, and member Bill Cloud.

The elementary building has thirty-three classrooms, two computer labs, and two gymnasiums. There are two classrooms for early childhood and three classrooms for kindergarten through fourth grade. In the elementary basement there are also centers which are used for the early childhood and the after school program. The fifth and sixth grade building houses the gyms and classrooms for science, special ed, art, social studies, language, math, reading, and speech therapy.
