Mary Johnson's Arts and Crafts students complete in the "Grounded: A Chalk Arts Festival" at ECU on Thursday, October 27. The students were Noah Merchant, Lauren Merchant, Sirena Morgan, and Rhiannon Camp. Students from all over Oklahoma competed in this event by using a 10 foot by 10 foot square of pavement. The konawa students created an original work on a Halloween theme and won the second place prize, receiving 25% of the fees for the contest. The students split the prize money. Mrs. Johnson said, "They did a wonderful job of working together in this contest" and described their effort as "working with one mind."
