COFMC Mission Statement

The mission of Central Oklahoma Family Medical Center, Inc. is to meet the needs of our patients with care, compassion, and the highest quality. We will operate in a profitable manner that will appropriately reward our employees and the corporation. This mission will be accomplished with the highest moral and ethical regard for everyone with whom we come in contact.

Home Health Care Agency and Outpatient Veterans Services

We have primary ambulatory health care for Seminole, Hughes, and Okfuskee counties. We serve the medically under-served population with a new medical wing and a state of the art mobile medical clinic, primarily located in Konawa. COFMC has 27,000 patients and annual visits total more than 48,000.

COFMC is a recipient of a $1,400,000 CHC grant. We are able to provide a sliding fee scale to all medical patients. We also offer school based services and a comprehensive mental health program for people in the Tri-County area.

COFMC also offers teleradiology services from Konawa to OU Health and Science Centers. This service provides radiological readings within minutes.

New and Upcoming Additions

COFMC has just finished a 6,000 sq. ft. Behavioral Health Outpatient Health Services Center. COFMC has also finished a 2,400 sq. ft. Home Health Care Based Facility. The main building recently had to be remodeled to accomidate a dentist facility. COFMC is planning to remodel the main building to house a Pharmacy.

COFMC History

COFMC was founded in 1966 as the Konawa Community Health Improvement Association through seven persons in this community by a taxation on the people. In 1984, the same seven people applied for a community health center grant; they were successful in receiving a 250,000 dollar grant. They had 12 employees in 1984 and now have grown to 120 employees.
