The Legion Hut

The America Legion is the world's largest veteran's organization, "chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic, mutual-help, war-time veterans organization. A community-service organization which now numbers nearly 3 million members -- men and women -- in nearly 15,000 American Legion Posts worldwide."

The Legion Hut in Konawa serves as both the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars. The building is also used by the community for a variety of other purposes from school dances and family reunions to educational purposes.
