The first congregation met in 1934 with Rev. James Plant led them up to 1939. The Knights came to town in 1949 for his pastorate. He left for ten months to help another congregation. He served in Konawa from that point until his passing on in 1992. Under the leadership of his grandson Arvle Wayne Knight, the church grew.
The youth and children will have new camp gacility in Chandler, OK. Delera Williams is the Children's Church Director of "Power Praise" each Sunday morning from 9:30-12:00. Wednesday night, the congregation meets fro Bible Study in several different age categories. The church sponsors a choir under the director of Allen Reynolds. Julie Auld, Music Director, leads the new "Praise Team" consistion of Allen Reynolds, Dennis Glover, Kara Medcalf, and Debra Williams. Under the leadership of the present pastor, Bro. Mitch Williams, the church is staying steady with many programs.
Mitch Williams became pastor in October of 1993.
Youth Directors, Joel and Kara Medcalf, take the youth group to a State-wide Youth Conference held in Norman, OK each October.
