Konawa Band Day

Posted Date: 09/22/2016

Konawa Band Day

The 53rd Annual Konawa Band Day is upon us. On October 1st, twenty area high school bands will arrive in Konawa to compete in the parade and field competitions. The parade is scheduled to start at 10:00 am and field competitions will begin at noon. In the small town of Konawa this is a really big day.

We want to thank the many people and groups who make this day possible by volunteering their time, effort, and financial support to Band Day. We also appreciate the help of all who work so hard to clean up around town by picking up litter, painting, planting, trimming trees and everything else that they see needing to be done. We are not aware of an official cleanup day, but if anyone else cares to contribute to the Konawa beautification project, Saturday, September 24, will be the last weekend day to work. Remember to wear your orange hunting vest or cap to increase your visibilty to traffic and be safe as you work.
